Washington D.C.: A train has left the premises of Parrish, Alabama in US, and the town folks cannot be happier - there is celebrating, dancing, singing, and cheering.

Seems a bit overboard for a train? Well, this would be your reaction too if the train in question were to be the smelliest train in the history of America.

Loaded with 10 million pounds of human excreta and sewage sludge, the train took a pit stop at Parrish, around two months back.

The train was to transport the heavy load of poop to a private landfill site, 25 miles away from the town, according to NPR reports, as quoted by Fox 43 News.

The train laden with 250 tractor-trailer worth of poop took shelter in the town when a nearby town, West Jefferson, took a legal action to prevent the waste from being handled locally, according to Fox 43 News.

The town of 982 people faced inordinate amount of trouble due to the stench and air-borne diseases which finally led to the train making its passage to the landfill.

Indeed, good riddance!
