Hyderabad-based techie drowns in California river

A Hyderabad-based software employee, working in California drowned in a river near San Ramon on August 12.

The techie, identified as Raj Kiran Gottipati had gone for a swim but drowned in the river. While he was rushed to a hospital but doctors were not able to revive him.

His body was flown back to Hyderabad in the early hours of Saturday and the last rites are expected to take place in the evening.

Raj Kiran is survived by his wife and a daughter.
