New Delhi: A three-member Bench headed by Justice Deepak Mishra, Justice A M Kanwilkar and Justice Mohana Shantanagoudar of the Supreme Court here on Wednesday recused from hearing the Krishna Water Disputes Case following the objection raised by Telangana government.The hearing on the petition by the Telangana government against Brijesh Kumar Tribunal Award was on Wednesday.
Senior Counsel Vaidyanathan representing Telangana government mentioned that, of the Judges on the Bench, Shantanagoudar was from Karnataka and Justice Kanwilkar was from Maharashtra. The two Justices preferred to get recused.Justice Deepak Mishra said he would transfer the case to another bench in that event.
