Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed the Lok Sabha proceedings accusing the Congress of dividing India in 1947 and stabbing in the back politicians from Andhra Pradesh.

The Prime Minister said that the Congress has forgotten the democracy instilled by Karnataka's 12th century Kannada reformer Basavanna.
Amidst the Opposition protests, PM Modi continued his speech which initially began as a motion of thanks to the President's address.
He went on to directly accuse the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty of dividing India at independence saying that 125 crore Indians are paying the price for their sins till date.
Lashing out at the Congress and particularly Jawaharlal Nehru for brainwashing people into thinking that they brought democracy to India, he even cited Karnataka Congress MP Mallikarjun Kharge's recent speech in Parliament to explain democracy to the Lok Sabha informing that the democracy isn't a preserve of the Congress and the leaders have destroyed it.
Bringing focus to the Andhra leaders, the PM said that the TDP was born out of Congress insults to Andhra leaders such as Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy and alleged that former Congress PM Rajiv Gandhi insulted a Congress CM at Hyderabad airport and backstabbed their own party's Presidential choice.
Proceeding to mention in detail the achievements of the BJP-led NDA government since coming into power in 2014, he brought notice to the change in work culture, more road projects and strong boost to the infrastructure sector.
