BJP moves to new headquarters building
The BJP will finally have a permanent address. The party has moved into a swanky new headquarters with latest communication technologies on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg.
New Delhi: The BJP will finally have a permanent address. The party has moved into a swanky new headquarters with latest communication technologies on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg.
The construction of the party building started in August last year after the Supreme Court directed that the party offices of all political parties should be relocated from the Lutyen’s Bunglaw Zone. Till now, the BJP was working from Ashoka Road.
The new building will have dedicated spaces for party leaders, meeting rooms, conference halls, studios and auditoriums. The party can now have video-conferencing with all the state units. The library would have state-of-the-art facilities.
Now, the pressure would be on the Congress and the other political parties to move out of the Lutyen’s zone in deference to the Apex Court directive. The Congress is currently functioning from Akbar Road.
