India Vice President Venkaiah Naidu expressed serious concern on the spread by false news by some media organizations on the health condition of Goa Chief Minsiter Manohar Parikkar.

Giving away NR Chandoor- Jagathi Journalist award 2018 to noted scribe in Americ Raju Narishetti , the Vice President said that the Goa CM's health condition is stable. It was unfortunate that the TV channels are spreading false news on his health and also the change of the CM to the Goa state.

He suggested the media houses to maintain press ethics and values and stop sensationalism in the dissemination of the information. Venkaiah also expressed serious reservations on owning news papers and TV news channels by political parties. He also said the corporates forayed into media business eying profits only.
