Karimnagar: The District Collector, Sarfaraz Ahmed, inaugurated the Digital India Video Van, designed under National Information Centre (NIC) to educate rural people here at the Collectorate in Karimnagar on Monday.

The Digital India Video Van has been specially designed by National Information Centre for creating technological awareness to the people, who are living in rural areas about the government services provided to them.

Speaking on the occasion, Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed said ‘The people living in rural areas will be educated on how to utilise the government services like birth and death certificates, driving license, Pan Card, passport and voter identity cards with the help of this Digital India Video Van’.

With two members of technicians, two laptops, and one television, the Van will visit the surrounding villages of Karimnagar district and will educate the people about the services provided by the government for their welfare, explained the Collector.

Mayor Ravinder Singh and Revenue Divisional Officer Chandrashekar were present along with others during the inauguration of the Digital India Video Van.
