Karimnagar: Action will be taken as per law against vehicle owners, who overload their vehicles, warned V B Kamalasan Reddy, Chairman of Vehicle Control Committee and Commissioner of Police.

He chaired a Vehicle Control Committee meeting at late Umesh Chandra Conference hall in the Commissionerate here on Wednesday.

Speaking at the meeting, he ordered the officials to take necessary steps for providing seating arrangements for passengers at bus stops along with arranging huge barricades for preventing road accidents.

The Commissioner directed the officials to conduct inspections for taking action on vehicle owners, who violate traffic rules along with preventing vehicle parking at restricted areas and also asked them to seize vehicles, whose drivers have no license.

RTC Regional Manager Chandranath, Depot Manager Dharma, Divisional Manager Ravi Kumar, District Transport Officer Vinod Kumar, Deputy District Medical and Health Officer Dr G Ravi Kumar, Traffic ASP Ashok Kumar and Inspectors Mahesh Goud and Narayana were present along with others.

IGP visits Police Training Centre
Inspector General of Police K Srinivas Reddy visited the City Police Training Centre in Karimnagar on Wednesday.

Inspecting the training centre and Police training college, the IGP gave suggestions to the officials on how to control situations at various levels during the process of police training.
