Nizamabad: District Joint Collector A Ravinder Reddy directed the officials of various departments to take steps and immediately redress the grievances received during the Prajavani programme.

He participated in the Prajavani programme at the Pragathi Bhavan in the town on Monday and received complaints from the general public who turned up in large numbers.

Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Collector said that the field officers should also receive complaints at the mandal level and try to get them redressed as soon as possible.

Through a video conference, he monitored the functioning of the field officials at the mandal and saw how they were responding to the people who came to lodge complaints. He told them to redress the grievances of the people in all the 27 mandals in the district.

The Joint Collector told them to take steps to set up mee-seva centres in all the gram panchayats. He told them to distribute cheques worth Rs 51,000 to the beneficiaries under the Kalyanalakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes immediately.

Ravinder Reddy said that functioning of officials in the Revenue department should be speeded up. District Revenue Officer Padmakar and officials of various departments were present on the occasion.
