Guide farmers to get maximum yield, Karimnagar Collector tells agri officials
District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed on Tuesday directed the officials of the Agriculture Department to be aware about their department and schemes in order to guide the farmers in a proper direction. The Collector was speaking at an Orientation Programme for the officials of Agriculture Department at the Collectorate Auditorium in Karimnagar on Tuesday.
Karimnagar: District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed on Tuesday directed the officials of the Agriculture Department to be aware about their department and schemes in order to guide the farmers in a proper direction. The Collector was speaking at an Orientation Programme for the officials of Agriculture Department at the Collectorate Auditorium in Karimnagar on Tuesday.
Attending as the Chief Guest, the District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed advised the officials to study the conditions of the fields along with environmental circumstances. He said that the farmer must be given directions to grow suitable crops that give maximum yield along with making suggestions about types of fertilisers the farmer must use in order to keep his soil fertile.
The officials of the Agriculture Department must coordinate with the officials of Irrigation, Revenue and Panchayat Raj departments to increase the agricultural production of the district along with arranging for the necessary farm implements to the farmers, the Collector suggested.
He also said that the agricultural officials must act like mediators between farmers and government to ensure that all the welfare schemes introduced by the government reach the farmers. He also asked the officials to creat awareness among farmers on Insurance Scheme ‘Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bhima Yojana’ Retired Agricultural Officers and officials of Agricultural department were also present for the Orientation Programme.
