Nizamabad: With the strike undertaken by the lorries entering the fifth day on Monday, transport services of goods were disrupted in the district.

It may recalled that the Lorry Owners Association went on an indefinite strike in support of their demands. Around 800 lorries in the district went off the roads.

As a result of the strike by the lorry owners, there has been a drastic fall in the income collected every day. Farmers are having a harrowing time in transporting their stocks of food grains to the agricultural market yard.

Trade and business in the district has been badly hit. Speaking to the media, the lorry owners said that they would continue with their indefinite strike till the State government accepts their demands.
