Jains took out a rally at I town here on Sunday to mark Mahaveer Jayanti and propagate the philosophy of Mahaveer Jain. Hundreds of Jains, including adults, teenagers and children, enthusiastically participated in the rally from Ratham Centre to Gandhiji Municipal High school passing via main streets of Samarangam Chowk, Kotha Pet and other areas of the Old City on Sunday.

Hundreds of Jains, including adults, teenagers and children, enthusiastically participated in the rally from Ratham Centre to Gandhiji Municipal High school passing via main streets of Samarangam Chowk, Kotha Pet and other areas of the Old City on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Narsapuram MP Gokaraju Ganga Raju said all sections of the society need to follow the philosophy of Mahaveer Jain to live peacefully. He said that Mahaveer Jain had propagated about the protection of animals and maintaining peace in the world.
