The coveted event will conclude on July 30.Two talented players from the State will be key figures in the team composition when it goes in quest of global recognition and rewards.

The exploits of Jafreen Shaik and L Sai Chandan, who are part of the women and men four-member squads, will be eagerly watched as they made it on the strength of their consistent showings in important events and also in the selections that were conducted by Sports Authority of India and Sports National Committee in New Delhi.

Hyderabad’s rising youngster Jafreen, who has impressed one and all with her gradual ascent in her category, has been notching up commendable wins in almost all the championships she has participated across countries. Jafreen, who trains at Sania Mirza Tennis Academy (SMTA), will spearhead the women team.

Chandan, who is pursuing distance education from here, is a trainee at Zeeshan Ali Tennis Academy in Banglore During the high-level coaching camp that is being coordinated by All India Sports Council of Deaf (AISCD), the eight players will be put through advanced training by qualified coaches Chandra Bhushan and John with Sonu from Delhi Lawn Tennis Association (DLTA) being the team trainer.

The camp will conclude on July 16 after which the team will proceed to Turkey to keep tryst with Deaf Olympics.
