Snehit wins doubles silver in Amman

Hyderabad: City paddler, S Fidel R Snehit on Wednesday added another feather to his cap with yet another superlative performance in the ongoing 2017 ITTF World Junior Circuit Jordan Junior & Cadet Open at Amman. 

The India No 2 in junior boys’ singles successfully paired with Anukram Jain of PSPB to clinch an unprecedented silver medal.
After making it to the title clash with some impressive outings, the two lost the all-Indian final only after putting up a spirited display. They went with their guns blazing 2-3 to Manush Shaw and Parth Virmani.

Earlier, they did well to scalp formidable duos from Chinese Taipei and Egypt, according to information received here.
Snehit, a product of the city-based Global Table Tennis Academy (GTTA), is now being trained by former national champion S Raman in Chennai. 

Snehit-Anukram Run: Finals: Lost to Manush Shaw/Parth Virmani (India) 7-11,13-11,11-8,6-11,9-11; Semifinals: Bt Hsu Po-Hsuan/Peng Chih (Taipei)  3-11,11-9,11-7,7-11,11-9; Quarterfinals: Bt Abel-Aziz Youssef/Meshref Ahmed 13-11,11-6,12-10.
