The second edition of ‘Dr Ushalakshmi Pink Ribbon Tournament’ was held at Orosports Village in Shankarpalli on Sunday.

The second edition of ‘Dr Ushalakshmi Pink Ribbon Tournament’ was held at Orosports Village in Shankarpalli on Sunday.

The event was organised in support of breast cancer survivors and to create awareness about the disease.

As part of the all-women’s sporting event soccer, basketball, volleyball, throwball and badminton were played among the participants. Over 700 women showed their sportive spirit at the games.

Padmanabhaiah, Chairman, Administrative Staff College of India gave away prizes in various categories.

Dr P Raghu Ram, CEO & Director of Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation said that he was delighted to be associated with an event that encourages sports among women and highlighted the importance of exercise in preventing breast cancer and other lifestyle diseases.

Anand, Chairman of Orosports Village and Pallam Raju, former Union Defence Minister were present.
