Apple launced iPad Pro, MacBook Air & Mac mini: India prices availability announced

The most awaited Apple event held on 30 October in Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York, the Cupertino-based tech giant revealed their new lineup of iPads along with an all-new MacBook Air and Mac mini. The prices of these new products were not disclosed during the announcement. 

Apple iPad Pro
The 11-inch iPad Pro is available in four storage variants (with Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi+Cellular models) The 11-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 71,900 for the Wi-Fi only model while the Wi-Fi + Cellular variant at retail price for Rs 85,900. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro’s price will start at Rs 89,900 for the Wi-Fi version and the Wi-Fi + Cellular version will begin at Rs 1,03,900. The new iPad Pro will be available to order through Apple Authorised Resellers starting on Wednesday, November 14. 

Apple Pencil the second generation announced is priced at Rs 10,900 in India that sticks magnetically to the Pro and charges wirelessly at the same time. The Liquid Retina displays to the edges of iPad Pro and combines Face ID to securely unlock iPad with just a glance. 

Smart Keyboard Folio was introduced at the event which complements the new iPad Pro models and the Space Grey 11-inch version priced at Rs 15,900 whereas the 12.9-inch version costs Rs 17,900. 

This Smart Keyboard Folio features layouts for over 30 languages, including simplified Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish. A new Smart Folio for iPad Pro, in a protective, polyurethane folio design, will be available in different colours for Rs 7,500 for the 11-inch iPad Pro and Rs 9,900 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. 

A wide collection of Apple-designed USB-C accessories including adapters and cables also support iPad Pro and will available, including a new USB-C to SD Card Reader and USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter. 

MacBook Air
The brand new MacBook Air starts at a price of Rs 1,14,900 with pre-orders beginning from Wednesday, November 7. It is available in three colours — Gold, Silver and Space Gray. 

It is thinner and lighter than earlier MacBook Air features a brilliant Retina display, Touch ID, the latest-generation keyboard and a Force Touch trackpad. The iconic wedge is created from 100 per cent recycled aluminium, making it the greenest Mac ever.1 and with all-day battery life, MacBook Air is your perfectly portable, do-it-all notebook.

With four times as many pixels as an HD display, the results are positively mind-blowing. Images take on a new level of detail and realism. The text is so sharp and clear you’ll feel like you’re reading documents, email and websites that give a feel of the printed page. 

Now MacBook air is built with the advanced security and convenience of Touch ID. Just place your finger on the Touch ID sensor and your Mac unlocks. You can use your fingerprint to immediately access locked documents, notes and system settings, without entering another password.

Mac mini 
The Mac mini features a starting price of Rs 75,900 and will be available in India from November 7.
