With the Telangana lawyers continuing their protest demanding the bifurcation of the High Court, nearly 200 judicial officers working in lower courts across the state decided to go on a Mass leave from Wednesday.

The judges did not attend courts protesting suspension of 11 judicial officers and are currently continuing the agitation. So far, 11 judicial officers have been suspended by the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad on disciplinary grounds due to the protest against the provisional allocation of judicial officers.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Advocates Joint Action Committee members continued their agitation outside court premises in different parts of the state on Thursday and held demonstrations seeking withdrawal of the list of provisional allocation.

Police have taken around 40 members of the JAC into custody after they marched towards the High Court as part of 'High Court Bandh' call even after barricades were placed on roads. Judicial employees across the state along with Telangana Advocates JAC, Telangana Judges Association, State Judicial Employees Association and Telangana Law Officers Association have been protesting since June 6.
