Siddipet: In a move to counter the opposition attack, farmers from several villages of Siddipet and Dubbak constituencies held separate rallies demanding the construction of Mallannasagar on Tuesday.
In Siddipet, farmers from Chinnakodur, Nangunur and Siddipet mandals, on the instruction of village sapranchs, MPTCs, ZPTCs and local TRS leaders, arrived in Siddipet on Tuesday morning to hold a rally.
Nearly 500 farmers took out a rally from MPDO office to RDO office, demanding construction of Mallannasagar reservoir. Farmers also burnt effigies of Congress and TDP.
