The sixth edition of the Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) 2016, co-produced by MUNCafé and The Harvard International Relations Council saw eminent speakers address the students recently in the city. 

The sixth edition of the Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) 2016, co-produced by MUNCafé and The Harvard International Relations Council saw eminent speakers address the students recently in the city.

Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, Government of India, Vikas Swarup, Official Spokesperson and Joint Secretary of The Ministry of External Affairs of India and Manjeet Kripalani co-founder and executive director, Gateway House spoke on the occasion.

1500 student delegates from 150 schools across 15 nations came together for the HMUN which is now an annual feature. MUNCafé, a Global Academic Simulations Platform hones students negotiating skills and gain insights into what it takes to achieve consensus and progress.

Armed with these assets, students can mobilise and engage on the major issues of contemporary world. Pertaining to this year’s theme Innovation in Sustainability, the speakers facilitated student delegates on how they can make their voices heard and drive political and social change.

Sampreeth Reddy Samala, Founder, MD, MUNCafé said, “For us leadership is to develop a power adaptive capacity in students which will prepare them to solve the most pressing and ever evolving global problems and MUNCafe is the perfect learning tool to do that.”

Our global Mun conference and leadership programs footprint is increasing each year and we envision to positively impact over 100,000 students from over 150 cities and towns in India by 2019.”
