HC orders TS Assembly Speaker to decide on TDP MLAs joining TRS

In the wake of 12 MLAs joining the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) party within a span of three months, Telangana TDP working president and TD Floor Leader in the Telangana Assembly, Revanth Reddy who had moved the petition seeking the Speaker to have jurisdiction to decide the issue of disqualification of the MLAs and not decide the TDLP merger with TRS. 

In the wake of 12 MLAs joining the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) party within a span of three months, Telangana TDP working president and TD Floor Leader in the Telangana Assembly, Revanth Reddy who had moved the petition seeking the Speaker to have jurisdiction to decide the issue of disqualification of the MLAs and not decide the TDLP merger with TRS.

The Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday passed the order asking Telangana Assembly Speaker to take the decision on 12 MLAs who joined TRS and has given 3 months time period to do so. Responding to the High Court's order, Revanth Reddy expressed happiness stating that it is a good sign adding that the party has hopes on the legal system.

However, the TDP MLA further came down heavily on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao alleging that the latter has been misusing his power to enhance the party position and was directing the office of Assembly Speaker.

Stating that the TRS leaders have been misleading office of Assembly Speaker, Revanth Reddy demanded KCR to disqualify the defected TDP leaders.
