Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Sunday rang up to his Maharashtra counterpart Girish Mahajan on the rain fury, floods and water being left downstream to Telangana through various projects.

In the wake of Telangana witnessing heavy rains and floods, it is expected to receive more waters that may lead to floods and inundate the low-lying areas in the State. Harish called up Girish Mahajan and sought to know about the amount of waters downstream. He asked the irrigation and other officials to remain extra cautious to attend to any sort of waters flowing down from Maharashtra projects.
