Youth killed in accident; shocked friend ends life
While Ramesh who was driving the bike survived the accident, Harikrishna died on the spot. Unable to overcome the shock of his friend’s death, Ramesh went to the nearby Bharat Nagar colony and ended his life by apparently jumping in front of a train. His body was found on the railway track there.
Hyderabad: In a heartrending incident, a youth committed suicide after his childhood friend died before his eyes in a road accident on Wednesday. According to Kukatpally police, G Harikrishna, a software engineer and his friend K Ramesh were going on a bike when they were hit by a truck at Moosapaet, in the early hours of Wednesday.
While Ramesh who was driving the bike survived the accident, Harikrishna died on the spot. Unable to overcome the shock of his friend’s death, Ramesh went to the nearby Bharat Nagar colony and ended his life by apparently jumping in front of a train. His body was found on the railway track there.
The youths, both in their 20s, were from Guntur district and had been living together in a hostel in Kukatpally. Harikrishna had returned from Malaysia a few days ago and was working with a software company whereas Ramesh was employed with a private firm.
