Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president K Laxman has demanded that the State government convene the Assembly session to discuss the public issues.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Laxman said that the Chief Minister was creating constitutional crisis by not fulfilling his promise to hold the session after Ganesh festival.

He said that there were many public issues to be discussed, including the 2BHK housing scheme, farmers suicides and loan waiver.

The BJP leader found fault with the Chief Minister’s proposal to construct new secretariat at a cost of Rs 350 crore. “It is not good to misuse public money in the name of ‘vaastu’.

The Chief Minister can take up ‘vaastu’ changes at his home with his own money but cannot use the public money for that purpose,” he said.

Laxman alleged that the entire revenue system in the State had collapsed because of the delimitation of districts and there was no clarity on the powers of the officials.

Laxman criticised Congress senior leader Digvijay Singh’s allegations that the party was using surgical strikes for political gains.

Laxman said, the true colour of Congress party would be exposed when the statements of the party leaders after the 1971 war with Pakistan were out.

He said that the Modi government was successful in isolating Pakistan on the issue of terrorism.
