Telangan Govt promotes 3,534 language pundits, PETs
Telangana Government on Friday accepted the long-pending demand to promote 3,534 language pundits and physical education trainers (PETs) as school assistants.
Hyderabad: Telangana Government on Friday accepted the long-pending demand to promote 3,534 language pundits and physical education trainers (PETs) as school assistants.
Of this 2,500 are language pundits and 1,034 PETs working in the government schools. The promotions will not incur any financial burden on state exchequer.
Briefing the media after the cabinet meeting, Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister K Srihari said that physical instructors and language pundits teaching Hindi and Urdu would get promotion due for many years.
Like the Union government provided Child Care Leave (CCL) to its women employees, the TS government also extended CCL for 90 days to all women employees working in all departments in addition to the 180-day maternity leave.
The workers can avail the CCL till their children attain age of 18 years. They were not allowed to avail all leaves at one go but in six spells only.
