Congress conspiring to sabotage irrigation projects: Harish
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress for hatching conspiracies against the projects in the State.
Siddipet: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress for hatching conspiracies against the projects in the State. Addressing a meeting at Siddipet, Harish Rao took serious exception to the Congress leaders filing petitions in the courts against the irrigation projects like Mallanna Sagar. He also expressed displeasure at the Centre for not providing MSP (minimum support price) for Soyabean and paddy.
Harish Rao alleged that the Congress leaders stooped to filing cases with forged signatures in the name of deceased farmers of Singaram and Vemulaghat villages. They must stop playing politics and should support development works instead, he suggested. He criticised the Congress for trying to mislead the courts and people as well.
“We have proved that the Congress had filed false cases” he said. The TRS government had embarked on a mega project to irrigate 40,000 acres in Andhol constituency by releasing water from Singur project during rabi season. He also said the government was aiming to bring Godavari waters to Siddipet by December.
