The news of the permission brought much joy to the fans who were worried that David Guetta's gig in Hyderabad will go the Mumbai and Bengaluru way.
He was supposed to have performed for a charity event in Bengaluru on Thursday, but owing to security issues following the mass molestation incident during the new year's eve, the event was cancelled.
In Mumbai too the event was cancelled as the organisers apparently failed to get permissions in time.
Doubts over the Hyderabad event reached feverish pitch on Friday evening when social media and television channels splashed news that the event may be cancelled and discussions were held between organisers and the police department.
However, the tweet by the police commissioner put the doubts to rest and fans visibly rejoiced over the good news.
David Guetta will now be performing live at Hyderabad's Sunburn Arena, Hitex Exhibition Centre from 6pm onwards on Saturday, January 14
