Hyderabad: Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the Test match between Indian and Bangladesh, scheduled to be held from February 9 to 13 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal.

As many as 1,204 personnel from different wings of the Police Department including OCTOPUS and Fire Services would be deployed to ensure safety for all, said Rachakonda Police Commissioner, Mahesh M Bhagwat.

As many as 56 CCTV cameras would be installed in and around the stadium for strict surveillance. Anti-sabotage checks would also be carried out with the help of 10 bomb disposal teams, he said.

He also said unwanted articles such as bags, banners, cameras, binoculars, match boxes, lights, helmets, cigarettes, perfumes, eatables, carriages and water bottles would not be allowed inside the

stadium. He appealed to the viewers to go through the sign boards properly since parking restrictions would be in force during the match.
