Ponguleti bats for pre-budget meetings with civil society
Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao hold pre-budget meeting with civil society on the lines of consulations Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had with various organisations. This will help present a meaningful budget, he felt.

Speaking to the media at Assembly Media Hall here on Saturday, Sudhakar Reddy stressed the need for such an exercise to understand the aspirations of the people. He suggested that the Chief Minister make allocations as proposed by various sections of people.
He also demanded that the budgetary allocations be made for agriculture in accordance with the suggestions of farmers’ unions.He stressed the need for implementation of Swaminathan Commission recommendations.
He criticised the government for failing to release funds for farmers’ loan waiver scheme, distribution of three acres land to Dalits and double bedroom houses for the poor.
