Hyderabad: Around 5,000 job aspirants were cheated by a fake job consultancy firm in Hyderabad on Sunday. A company called Adwiteeya Shreya Foundation gave an advertisement for off-campus job mela to be held at Little Flower Junior College, Uppal on Sunday between 8.30 am and 6 pm. It had asked the aspirants to register online on their website www.getmyjob.co.in by paying Rs 200.

Over 5,000 unemployed who had registered came for the interview and were shocked to see that neither the organizers nor the recruiting companies had turned up. They waited for a few hours and when nobody turned up, they became restive and ransacked the college furniture.

However, the LFJ College management claimed that they have nothing to do with any job consultancy and have no idea about their whereabouts. When tried to call repeatedly, the mobile number of the company 9032427067 remained switched off and there was no clear address on the website except Hyderabad, Telangana.

The college management called the police, who booked a case and took up investigation. The police pacified the irate youth and advised them not to believe such advertisements and get cheated. They also assured that those responsible for the scam would be caught and dealt with severely.
