Khammam MLA donates 66 acres for Dalit scheme
TRS MLA from Khammam Puvvada Ajay Kumar on Friday announced donation of 66 acres of land to the government for distribution under the ‘Dalitulaku Bhupampini’ (Distribution of Land to Dalits) scheme.
Hyderabad: TRS MLA from Khammam Puvvada Ajay Kumar on Friday announced donation of 66 acres of land to the government for distribution under the ‘Dalitulaku Bhupampini’ (Distribution of Land to Dalits) scheme.
Ajay Kumar informed Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao about this in the Assembly during a discussion on the SC/ST sub plan fund bill.
Appreciating the gesture made by Ajay Kumar, KCR appealed to all the members to persuade all those who have land but are not able to cultivate it in their respective constituencies to donate it to Dalits.
The Chief Minister said he had personally persuaded a person who was settled in the US to donate his piece of land in Medak district and asked the MLAs to appeal to the people settled abroad to follow the example.
