Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce (APFCC) had their Ugadi Cinema awards at Happy Resorts (HR), Atmakur on Tuesday. About 100 awards were given to twenty various films in different categories from the year 2012 to 2017. The programme started with the dance number “Maa Telugu Talli” remix song.

The guests for awards function were IT and Communication Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy, Agriculture, Animal Husbandary and Dairy development Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao, veteran politician Rayapati Sambashiva Rao, vetern Journalist Turlapati Kutumba Rao, Senior film producer and director Tammareddy Bharadwaja and others.
Speaking on the occasion Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy congratulated Happy Resorts owner and APFCC chairman A Madhu Mohana Krishna for organising the Ugadi awards function in such a grand scale. He said that Happy Resorts was an ideal place for shooting movies, serials and short film.
Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao said that the government would cooperate for the development of the Telugu Film Industry here to get APFCC recognition. Tammareddy Bharadwaja said that there are four various film chambers in Hyderabad, and APFCC is the first in the new state. He said that all the members related to the film Industry would register them in APFCC and support the film chamber for its growth.
Senior Actor G Rajendra Prasad was awarded the Jury award for his 40 years of film career. He said that this cine award function is no less than Nandi award function. The Award function started with the presentation of awards to the film exhibitors from all over Andhra Pradesh. The awards to cinema exhibitors were given by the APFCC for the first time.
The chief guests distributed the cine awards to various movies for the year 2012 - 2016 to the teams of Onamalu, Minugurulu, Midhunam, Naa Bangaru Thalli, Opari, Kanche, Gundello Godari, Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu, O Malli and Thirdman. Cine awards for 2016-2017 were given form Gouthami Puthra Satakarni, Shatamanambhavati, Aa Aa, Manamantha, Pelli Chupulu, Khazi, Yekkadiki Pothave Chinnawada, Saptagiri Express, Appatilo Okadundevadu and special Jury award to Dana Veera Sura Karna.
APFCC conveners Bhoopal Prasad, JV Mohan Goud, P Rama Rao, Coordinators P Vijaya Varma, Muraligangadhar, Ravipalli Ram and Suresh were present. The anchoring department was led by Balaji, Srivalli, Chitra.
