Haritha Ambulances launched to protect saplings
Keeping in view of prevailing heat conditions, the Haritha Ambulances are introduced to protect and water the saplings planted under Haritha Haram, said District Collector Dr Alugu Varshini.
Peddapalli: Keeping in view of prevailing heat conditions, the Haritha Ambulances are introduced to protect and water the saplings planted under Haritha Haram, said District Collector Dr Alugu Varshini.
On Friday, the Collector inaugurated the Haritha Ambulance services on the premises of Collectorate by watering the saplings. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said for protecting the saplings water would be supplied through Haritha Ambulances by preparing proper schedule.
Field officers of Employment Guarantee scheme and villagers will take up the duty of watering the plants.
Stating that water of the Haritha Ambulances should not be used for household purposes, Varshini urged villagers to cooperate with the officials in protecting the saplings from harsh summer.
