Hyderabad: Taking exception to the tweets of Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan against the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Telangana BJP on Monday called the power star as a ‘Twitter tiger’ and an invisible leader of an invisible party.Addressing a press conference here, BJP official spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao said the comments by Pawan Kalyan were consistently baseless and shallow and reprehensible.

His baseless allegations against Central government, such as the Centre was discriminating against South, were quite juvenile. “He makes these big statements by reacting to a few random articles in newspapers and over some mistaken remarks of an individual on South Indians. He almost declared war on Twitter against North Indians over these frivolous reasons, said Rao.

Rao said that Pawan’s brother Chiranjeevi had floated a party and after fighting elections, merged it with the Congress for a Ministerial berth in return. “Pawan Kalyan was also a part of that party and part of that merger decision. Is Congress a South Indian party,” asked Rao.

Stating that the BJP was a national party, Rao said the party is in power in 17 states across India, both on its own and through alliance partners. “Our State governments are in North, South, East and West. BJP has crores of members across the nation and is winning elections across India with popular support. We don’t need Pawan Kalyan’s certificate on good governance,” he said.

He said those who tried to package, promote and sell petty divisive politics using a non-existent North and South divide would fall flat in their plans. He alleged that Pawan Kalyan till date has added no value to common people through his invisible Jana Sena. This divisive and opportunistic politics based on lies and hatred would be rejected by the people, he felt.
