Hanmkonda: Ministers K T Rama Rao, G Jagadish Reddy and Eatala Rajender and a few senior leaders were caught in traffic jams as there was huge rush of vehicles reaching Warangal for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) public meeting on Thursday.

Heavy traffic jam took place at Raghavapur near Station Ghanpur of Jangaon district. The Ministers who were trapped in the jam were forced to arrive late at the meeting. Despite appeals by the party leaders to the public to come to the meeting spot by 5 pm, they kept arriving until 7 pm.

Large number of TRS workers and common public could not reach the meeting venue due to traffic jams. They managed to listen to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s address by standing at the television sets of the residents at the villages en route.

On the other hand, the Chief Minister confined his address to just half an hour as he seemed not to test the patience of the public, who, braving the hot temperatures, arrived here from different parts of the State. He also ensured that no leader was allowed to make lengthy speeches and asked only three persons, the party secretary general K Keshava Rao to make opening remarks, besides Deputy Chief Ministes K Srihari and Md Mahmood Ali.
