State police has won FICCI Smart Policing Award 2017 for two separate initiatives, besides three special jury awards out of 133 entries from various State police forces and Central Armed Police force.

Hyderabad: State police has won FICCI Smart Policing Award 2017 for two separate initiatives, besides three special jury awards out of 133 entries from various State police forces and Central Armed Police force.

Telangana police initiatives – Smart Passport Verification Process and Cyber Forensic Lab – won the FICCI Smart Policing Award 2017, while in the special jury award category - city Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy won the Smart Police Officer Award and J Parimala Nutan, Superintendent of Police of Suryapet district won the award for FINS (Fingerprint Identification and Network System).

Special jury award were also conferred for Telangana police for Smart Innovative Policing. The awards will be presented during the ninth edition of the annual conference on Homeland Security to be held on May 24 and 25 at the FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers Of Commerce and India) in Delhi. Director General of Police Anurag Sharma congratulated the police officers and personnel for their achievement.
