Leaders and activists of various Opposition parties on Monday gathered at the Dharna Chowk in Indira Park, Hyderabad to protest against it's relocation.

The agitation which has been brewing since a month has once again surfaced. Speaking on the issue, Commissioner of Police (CP) Mahender Reddy said that due to traffic constraints, space has been provided at four other locations in the city for staging protests.

Meanwhile, members of Walker's Association and locals protested against the issue saying that the Dharna Chowk in the park would lead to noise pollution and disturbance in the surroundings.

Despite Police giving permission to TJAC protests over the retention of Dharna Chowk at Indira Park, clashes erupted with several members of Walkers' Association getting gravely injured. Chaos prevailed with party leaders trying to control their activists and Police trying to bring the situation under control.

Telangana TDP MLA Revanth Reddy reacted strongly against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for provoking people against each other. Citing the visuals in the TV Channels, Revanth Reddy said that few police constables were made to come in civil dress and protest against all parties, for relocation of Dharna Chowk.
