Modi se dosti-Shah se kushti, Yeh Kaise Logic Hi,’ Jaipal asks KCR

Hyderabad: Polarisation of political forces in Telangana seems to have begun. The TPCC on Thursday officially announced that it was willing to work with the TDP and contest the next elections.

Senior Congress leader and former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy said that though the Congress had opposed the TDP in 2014 elections, as an opposition party, they are now ready to fight against the TRS with the help of all political parties except the BJP.

It may be mentioned here that TDP working president A Revanth Reddy had also made it clear that the Telangana TDP was willing to have an understanding with the Congress in the next elections.

When asked how could the TDP, which had always opposed to the Congress, think of having some kind of understanding, Revanth Reddy said that as of now Congress was in the Opposition. The fight of the TDP was against the ruling party. In Telangana, the ruling party is TRS and hence there is nothing wrong in going with the Congress.

Recently, TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy had also praised the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister for giving bonus to chilli farmers who were not getting minimum support price.

“KCR could not do what Chandrababu Naidu had done,” the TPCC president had commented at a press conference. In the backdrop of this scenario, the statement of Jaipal Reddy that the Congress would go with the TDP assumes importance.

“Modi se dosti aur Amit Shah se kushti. Is it possible? Can anyone believe it?” asked Jaipal Reddy during a press conference in Hyderabad. The reaction of KCR on Amit Shah’s visit is just a drama. The TRS has secret understanding with the BJP.

The Congress leader asked KCR to make his stand clear on extending support to Presidential candidate. If he really thinks that BJP was enemy of TRS then he should openly announce his support to the candidate selected by the Opposition parties.

“I do not rule out the possibility of the TRS merging with BJP in future. If BJP stands by its policy of going alone in 2019 elections, then KCR will continue with his secret understanding with BJP,” he said.

Stating that KCR has no ideology, Reddy said, “he (KCR) is not a Siddhantavadi. He is Radhantavadi and is an opportunist. Sometimes, KCR claims he is a leftist, sometimes he says his policy is that of naxals and sometimes he claims to be a revolutionary.

He adorns different roles at different times.”Commenting on the BJP president’s visit, Jaipal Reddy said that Amit Shah is in the habit of reeling out inconsistent figures where ever he goes.
