Hyderabad: Cyberabad police has intensified its probe into the massive land scam estimated to be over Rs 10,000 crore that surfaced following the arrest of two directors of Trinity Infra Ventures Limited and a sub-registrar.

The Kukatpally police on Sunday arrested P S Parthasarathy and PVS Sharma – both directors of Trinity Infra and Kukatpally Sub-Registrar Rachakonda Srinivasa Rao for fraudulent registration of 796 acres of government land in violation of the rules.

Police named two other directors of Trinity Infra – Indrani Prasad and Mahita Prasad Caddell, who is also director in Goldstone Infratech Limited, employees Syed Rafiuddin, Satyanarayana, Mohammed Imtiyaz Pasha, P Venkata Rama Murthy and some others as accused in the case.

However, before summoning them for questioning, the investigators have urged the court to grant ten days police custody for the three arrested accused for detailed questioning.

However, investigators are baffled with the massive scandal and suspect that Srinivasa Rao alone could not have done this. Ever since computerisation of the transactions, the higher ups such as district registrar and his superiors constantly monitor the transactions and the investigators suspect the involvement of some other officials in the entire scam.

With the massive scam coming to light, both police and the Stamps and Registrations departments have now decided to look into similar illegal registrations in and around Kukatpally related to government lands.
With this, the illegal registrations of about 165 acres of prime government land classified as ‘poramboke’ in Survey No 44 in Miyapur village surfaced again.

Documents available with The Hans India show that revenue records related to the land were tampered with by some officials showing Abdul Basith Khan and Shaik Kareemuddin as owners of the land. Further, Survey No 44 was sub-divided into 44/1 and 44/2, though no such sub-division was made by the government.

Based on the fraudulent entries, fake documents were generated and plots were sold away to real estate companies. Investigators are verifying whether Trinity Infra has any role in this particular land also.

A case bearing number LGC 29 of 2006 is pending with the land grabbing court in connection with the 165 acres of land in Survey No 44. And the details of this particular land are mentioned in the prohibitory register.

Yet, the registrations were done unabatedly and all the officials of the stamps and registrations department, including the district registrar were aware of this, sources said.

Now that the investigators have decided to dig deeper into the illegal registrations of lands around Kukatpally and also the government has ordered an internal inquiry, more skeletons are likely to tumble out in the coming days.
