Telangana was arved out of Andhra Pradesh as India's 29th state on June 2nd, 2014. KCR unfurled the national flag at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad following which a colourful ceremonial parade was held.

The Chief Minister paid tributes at Telangana martyrs' memorial at Gun Park near the Assembly building before reachign the venue.

Addressing the gathering at the Parade Grounds, KCR said that Telangana made immense progress in the time period of three years in all sectors and was progressing towards becoming 'Bangaru Telangana'.

Stating that Telangana has become the number one state in the country when it comes to the implementation of welfare schemes for the weaker sections of the society, KCR said that the government was spending Rs 40,000 crore annually on 36 welfare schemes.

Listing out the achievements of Telangana in the three-year rule, he further presented awards to over 50 personalities for their contributions in various walks of life.

Telangana today is celebrating the third year of separate statehood and three years governance of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) rule. The city is gleaming with prominent buildings illuminated with decorations and lights.
