Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts 96 per cent of normal rainfall during the onset of monsoon. The officials also claimed that the temperatures in city have dropped to 36 degrees Celsius to 38 degrees Celsius and in last 24 hours, it has received 2 centimetres rainfall.

Speaking to The Hans India, Director of Meteorological Centre Dr K Naga Ratna said that monsoon will hit the city in three to four days and 96 per cent of the normal rainfall is expected this year. She also said that some parts of Telangana will receive only 50 per cent rain fall.

Explaining about weather on the onset of monsoon, she said that cyclone over north Andhra Pradesh coast now lies over north Andhra Pradesh coast and south Odisha and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal.
