Heavy rainfall hits Hyderabad

Hyderabad witnessed heavy rainfall in several parts of the city on Thursday morning resulting in flood-like situation in few places.

Rainfall and thunderstorms hit places like Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Ameerpet, Dilsukh Nagar, LB Nagar, Punjagutta, Secunderabad, Abids and Uppal.

Roads in the city have been inundated with rain waters in turn affecting the traffic. Power supply in many places was down and the public are facing a lot of inconvinience due to the rainfall which is likely to continue until Friday.

Due to the intense activity of Southwest Monsoon, Hyderabad and surrounding cities are likely to experience by heavy rains for another week. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Authorities (GHMC) workers are struggling to remove the water from roads, and traffic police are facing a tough task to divert the traffic.
