Hyderabad: The two accused, charged with abetting the suicide of makeup artiste Sirisha, were on Monday remanded in police custody. The police sought the custody of Vallabhaneni Rajeev Kumar and his friend Sravan Kumar for questioning them.

The makeup artiste had committed suicide by hanging in her workplace at Banjara Hills on June 13 after she along with the two accused returned from Kukunoorpally where they had interaction with Sub-Inspector, P Prabhakar Reddy. Prabhakar Reddy shot himself dead.

The three had gone there at the insistence of Sravan Kumar for finding a solution to the triangle love affair Rajeev had with Sirisha and another woman, named Tejaswini. A day later, Prabhakar Reddy shot himself to death fearing criminal proceedings against him since he allegedly attempted to sexually assault Sirisha.

The police, it is said, have taken the accused into custody for questioning and tie up loose ends. Some audio footage emerged after the accused were remanded in judicial custody. Sirisha had reportedly been quoted as telling her friends that Tejaswini was her enemy. Apart from it, Sirisha’s parents suspected that their daughter could have been murdered.
