The High Court at Hyderabad has ordered the Ranga Reddy District Collector to investigate into the mysterious missing of records pertaining to over Rs 300 crore worth of lands in Bachupally under Qutbullapur mandal and submit a report to the court.

Justice A Ramalingeswara Rao gave this direction while hearing petitions filed by H Malleswara Rao and scores of others who were questioning the action of the State in trying to resume their lands claiming it as assigned land. They pointed out that the assignment record had gone missing from the office of the Deputy Collector and Mandal Revenue Officer. The judge sought a probe report from the District Collector and posted the case to August 8.
