Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MPs A P Jitender Reddy and B Vinod Kumar here on Monday told the media that their party would highlight all pending issues with the Centre including bifurcation of the High Court during the monsoon session.

Listing out the TRS agenda, Vinod Kumar said several promises made in the Bifurcation Act, 2014, had remained pending and his party would press for their fulfilment. The party had been urging the Centre to resort to delimitation at the earliest and it would once again be sought in the current session. Bill for the same was drafted, he said, adding it would be introduced this week for approval.

Jitender Reddy said all MPs of the party uniformly voted for the NDA Presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind as planned. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had sought the advice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in the selection of candidate and the latter suggested the nomination of a Dalit.

Hence, it was his party’s responsibility to ensure a good majority for the NDA choice. Kovind was a Dalit scholar with vast political experience and also a soft-spoken man and would bag more than 70 per cent of the polled votes, he added.
