Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the Jalagam Vengalrao Park in Banjara Hills would be developed as a tourist destination.
Speaking after planting saplings in the park as part of Haritha Haram programme on Tuesday, Talasani directed the officials to prepare a comprehensive plan for the development of park.
He said the lake situated in the park could be used for boating by introducing 2-seater, 4-seater and 12-seater boats. Similarly, the canteen can be developed as a food giant. He asked the GHMC officials to take the help of Tourism Department in finalising the plan.
Jubilee Hills MLA Chintala Ramchandra Reddy and senior officials were also present.
