GHMC procures tree shredding machines
Branch pruning and shredding machines that are worth Rs 20 lakh have been launched by Mayor B Rammohan at Indira Park on Tuesday.
Hyderabad: Branch pruning and shredding machines that are worth Rs 20 lakh have been launched by Mayor B Rammohan at Indira Park on Tuesday.
During the inaugural, the Mayor said the pruning and shredding machines will be deployed in all zones and circle offices for effective implementation and to maintain greenery in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits.
“With the help of modernised technology, cutting of trees and branches will become hassle free. The initiative taken by GHMC will avoid traffic snarls and the machines will also be helpful during Vinayaka Chaturthi celebrations. The equipment can be handled by a single person.”
BJP MLA K Laxman appreciated the officials for procuring these modernised machines with latest technology to take up cutting of trees. The machine operates with minimum man power and will be helpful in maintaining proper greenery in GHMC limits especially during rainy season.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin said previously the GHMC had to co-ordinate with Electricity and Transco departments for cutting down the trees but, now that the GHMC had procured these machines it will be even more convenient for cutting and pruning of the trees with minimum man power.
