Minister assures drinking water by Jan 2018
Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy gave an assurance that drinking water would be provided to every household in the town by January 2018.
Vikarabad: Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy gave an assurance that drinking water would be provided to every household in the town by January 2018.
He along with District Collector Divya and local MLA Sanjeev Rao, held a review meeting with the officials, at the Collectorate here on Wednesday, over the progress of Mission Bhagiratha works.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister has said that Mission Bhagiratha works are going in a fast pace in the district and Rs 2,000 crore have been spent in this regard.
Mahender Reddy asserted that 80 percent of works were completed and directed the officials to speed up the works and provide water within the scheduled time.
The Minister says that Chief Minister has been inspecting the Mission Bhagiratha works regularly and would take field level supervision to inspect the works, he added.
District Collector Divya directed the officials to restore the roads, electric lines and telephone cables after completion of Mission Bhagiratha works.
DRO Sandhya Rani, Irrigation SE Anjaneyulu, DEs and AEs participated in the meeting.
