Technical glitch halts bank transactions in Hyderabad
Business activities in city were hit hard on Wednesday with online services in several banks remained crippled for many hours. Online technical snag in the banks across the city had affected business persons, students and other customers.

Many online services like Demand Drafts, challans, cheques clearance and other works could not be carried out following the technical snag. Treasury Bank and State Bank in Abids witnessed people standing in queues to submit their challans and DDs, but in vain.
People have complained that the rush in banks was huge in the past two days.
On Wednesday, the banks could not deliver. A student from Nizam College V Narendar said that he stood in queue for one hour and later he was informed that the issue of DDs would be delayed due to technical snag.
He said that many students were in banks paying their examination fees towards college but this has really wasted their entire day.
In the Treasury Bank at Abids, the situation was similar. Several business persons left without their work done due to the dysfunctional online services. A bank official has informed that the technical glitch was from the service provider BSNL across the city.
A businessman from Jagdish Market Rahman said that he had to take a Challan receipt; but denied by the bank officials. He said that he skipped Monday and Tuesday to avoid huge rush; but officials told him that it may not be done on Wednesday either.
Most of the people were left clueless about the problem. While some people waited in the banks others left to come the next day. Situation at Vijayanagar Colony State Bank was also similar where people had to back off following the technical problem. Officials from BSNL could not be reached to comment on the issue.
