Speaking after laying foundation stone for Line-15 of Sriram Sagar Project in Tomalapally of Huzurabad mandal of Karimnagar district on Tuesday, Etala said previous Congress and TDP supplied irrigation water to only 6 lakh acres of land through SRSP during the last 60 years. However, he said by taking up modernisation of SRSP, TRS Government would increase the ayacut to 14 lakh acres in just one year. He said Rs. 1,000 crore were being spent on SRSP modernisation and by June 2018, SRSP waters would reach Mediguda Barrage. He said not an inch of land in Karimnagar would remain barren in the next one year.
