Hyderabad: TRS MP B Suman on Wednesday launched a scathing attack against Opposition parties for meeting Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan and complaining against constitution of farmer coordination committees.

Talking to the media here, Suman alleged that some political parties were indulging in political gimmicks by extending their support to AITUC in Singareni Collieries union elections. He slammed the Opposition leaders for “shamelessly” meeting the Governor despite the High Court passing strictures against their petitions seeking to stay GO 39 on formation of farmers coordination committees in the State.

The TRS MP sought to know as to why the political parties were coming in the way of welfare programmes for the benefit of farmer. The government has decided to give Rs 8,000 input subsidy per acre for two crops a year. Farmers’ coordination committees would unite farmers and help them get minimum support price for their produce, he said, adding that the Opposition parties were coming in the way only to stall the development activities. The Opposition leaders would face the wrath of the farmers, he warned.

He slammed the Congress and Telugu Desam Parties for supporting CPI in the Singareni union elections. Though these parties joined hands, the TRS candidates would win majority in the polls. He also ridiculed the Opposition parties for coming together like a “Kichdi.” The efforts of the Opposition parties would boomerang on them as the people and workers are aware of their evil designs against development and welfare in the State. He also said the Opposition parties would vanish.
